What we collect
- If you play as a guest: your game is saved only in your browser's local storage. We don't receive it.
- If you create an account: your username, an optional email address, and your password (stored only as a secure hash). Your game save, including your character's name, look, in-game location and recent in-game activity.
- Things you post or send in the game: noticeboard messages, your status line, and waves or gifts to other players.
- Technical data: your IP address is recorded briefly (up to 24 hours) to limit repeated login and sign-up attempts.
What other players can see
When you have an account, other players can see your username, character name and look, your in-game district, what your character is doing, your job, day count, mood, status line, noticeboard posts and leaderboard position. Guests are not shown to other players.
Cookies and storage
- sl_token — keeps you logged in. Necessary for accounts to work.
- Local storage — saves your game and settings on your device.
- Advertising — the site may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't ask for your real name, location or payment details to play.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the game: Phone → Settings → Delete account. This removes your account, cloud save, noticeboard posts, activity and interactions. Guest saves can be removed by clearing your browser data.
